We’ve got HEART!
That’s right, Healthy Youth Network (HNY) has changed their ally program name to H.E.A.R.T. — which stands for the Healthy Education About Relationships Team.
After meeting with Clarity Communications and MediaBay Creative, our students have developed a brand-new name, logo and framework to build our ally program into something impactful and sustainable.
Our vision is to build a school environment that is safe for all genders, where everyone feels heard, supported and treated with equity. Our mission is to tackle the systemic issues in our community by raising awareness and educating youth about gender-based violence to ensure youth have safe spaces to develop healthy relationships.
With this school year coming to a close, we will truly miss our student team who have been extremely dedicated, and passionate about bringing this program to life and into their school. Our team put on two amazing empowering breakfast events in May. You could say they put their whole HEART into it!
However, on a personal note, saying goodbye to our student team, I also leave behind Healthy Youth Network to move on to a new chapter of my life. As the outgoing program co-ordinator, I am so thankful for this amazing opportunity, and am grateful for all of the people and connections made in this incredible organization.
Healthy Youth Network is currently looking for a new program co-ordinator to oversee the HEART team. The part-time (20 hours a week) program co-ordinator, will be responsible for overseeing the Youth Impact Team and high school student team, co-ordinating workshops, training, and presentations, assisting in the planning and execution of events and more!
