Strategic Partners

As a strategic partner, you are committed to supporting our vision and goals. Your voice would be part of our governance model, ensuring that our mutual goals are in alignment. Strategic partners agree to:

  • Commit to the vision and goals of Healthy Youth Network
  • Share expertise in relation to the sector they represent
  • Act as a liaison between Healthy Youth Network and the sector they represent
  • Provide support in gathering information and guide the development of programs
  • Support and foster an asset-based culture and developmental relationships in the work that they do
  • Support and encourage within their sectors, participation in training so that they can be asset champions
  • Provide funding or in-kind support

Over the past 10 years I have been very pleased to support the Healthy Youth Network as a Strategic Partner along with Public Health, Hamilton Board of Education, City of Hamilton and more in the true definition of collaboration. This is an important conversation for all of us to have with youth about empowering them. It is essential for everyone to support their mental health. Join me and let’s see what we can do together.”

– Councillor Judi Partridge, Ward 15 Flamborough

The YMCA of Hamilton, Burlington and Brantford is represented on our Board of Directors and Senior Leadership team. They provide HYN with an office and meeting space in the YMCA Employment Services Waterdown location.

Councillor Judi Partridge, Ward 15, is a member of our Board of Directors. We are also part of the City of Hamilton’s Youth Strategy.

The Turkstra Foundation has been the major sponsor of our Flamborough Paint Challenge. Karen Turkstra is a member of our Board of Directors.

HWDSB allocate staff to be part of our Senior Leadership and Planning Teams. They allow us access students and staff and support in the gathering of information and data.
