While most aspects of our lives have returned to a pre-pandemic “normal” with quarantine and social distance regulations being lifted, the impacts of COVID-19 have not disappeared.
The COVID-19 pandemic created social, psychological, environmental, political, and financial circumstances that most children, youth, and parents would otherwise never be exposed to.
Lack of socialization and social connection, less opportunity for recreation and exercise, virtual learning/working environments, and many other changes in our daily lives led to a great amount of uncertainty, discomfort, and fear that unfortunately cannot disappear immediately.
It is vital, now more than ever, to pay attention to the mental health and wellness of our loved ones, so we can heal from and re-discover our selves in a post-lockdown world.
Youth can find tips and resources relating to life after lockdown on our youth portal.
Parents can find tips and resources relating to supporting their children in life after lockdown on our parent place.
