Mentoring Our Future Workforce

The “Battle of the Bakers” is a community fundraiser benefiting the Healthy Youth Network’s “What’s Your Path” program. We connect local high school students with professional bakers, providing real-world career mentorship and hands-on experience in the food industry.

Student teams compete to bake the perfect cookie as part of the Food & Nutrition class. Professionals drop in to provide advice and talk about a career in the culinary arts.  Winners are paired up with professional bakers to compete in the Battle of the Bakers.

By partnering with us, you directly invest in youth skills development right here in the Flamborough/Waterdown community, helping to develop your future workforce.
